Multichain endpoints

CloudNew Nodes capability

It would be very convenient to be able to use a same api key (endpoint), on different networks.
Similarly as most providers are offering nowadays: Alchemy, Quicknode, dRPC, dwellir, …

This feature would highly improve the UX of using chainstack in a multichain setup.

    Hi everyone!

    I am glad to inform you that it is now possible to use one API key across multiple chains with Multichain API.

    Create a multichain endpoint, attach your existing Global and Dedicated Nodes, and every attached chain answers to the same key.

    On Chainstack, open Multichain API > Create endpoint, then click Add node to attach the nodes you want.


    For Global Nodes, the URLs follow one pattern, so you can generate them instead of listing them by hand:

    https://ethereum-mainnet.core.chainstack.com/YOUR_KEY
    https://solana-mainnet.core.chainstack.com/YOUR_KEY


    Add or remove nodes at any time without changing the key. Available on every plan, including Developer.

    This would also be appreciated. We have ~15 chains configured in ChainStack; the overhead of managing various endpoint URLs is cumbersome. With other providers we autogenerate the RPC URLs based on the chainId and provider, but it’s not possible for ChainStack so we are enumerating them manually.

    QuickNode also used to require this but they enabled multichain endpoints and it’s been well-received.

    Hi @Goums , thank you for the feedback.

    While we don’t have this exact feature now, in general it can be solved via Chainstack API to retrieve the API key for the node endpoints.

    1. You create a User API Key via Chainstack > Settings > API Keys

    2. You use this API key together with our public API to first retrieve the list of API nodes: https://docs.chainstack.com/reference/chainstack-platform-api-list-all-nodes

    3. This API will return the full nodes info including the auth key. You may also filter by project ID using this API.

    So, instead of having 1 common api key for multiple endpoints, you may retrieve the full list of endpoints together with the correct api keys and then use this data.

    This approach is more secured in general, but requires a bit of effort.

    But we will take a fresh look anyway.
